March 27, 2013 Update:

Water Standby Charge

West Basin is constructing water recycling projects which conserve drinking water supplies by using recycled water for non-drinking water purposes (irrigation, parks, industrial cooling towers). The District has adopted a resolution of intent to levy water standby charges. Phase V Construction Projects 

The Edward C. Little Water Recycling Facility in El Segundo is gearing up for its fifth expansion since initial construction in 1995.  Phase V will double the plant's production of recycled water.

December 15, 2011 Update:


The GRAVITY BELT THICKENER building went up in one day using the tilt-up method. The new building will house equipment to dewater sludge and obtain a higher solid concentrate (ie. create efficiencies in operations) and comes with an odor control system.
